  1. We taste hundreds of wines each month, then pick our current favorites in a variety of themes, from regional tours to weird wine grapes to the most exciting new grower Champagnes. If you came home with us and we wanted to show you a good time, these are the bottles we'd crack to impress you.

  2. We give you stories and notes on the wines explaining why each one is awesome, unique and special, plus recipes and pairing suggestions, insider guides, even music playlists to pair with the bottles. Members also get access to our Cave of Wonders: a members-only portal full of content, coupons and extra goodies.

  3. You pay monthly or quarterly, based on your membership selection, for your wines; subscription fees are automatically charged to your card on file.

  4. You--or your gift recipient--drink awesomely while also learning about the most exciting small-production, mindfully-made wines around the world.

Note: Membership start date (first month or quarter of wines received) is dependent on wine availability. Once you submit your order, our team will process your membership and confirm your start date, either for current month or quarter, or next month or quarter.

You can also gift the wine club to a friend! Just input your gift message and shipping details address at checkout, and we'll follow up to get the gift subscription set up! Shipments are subject to all interstate state shipping laws.

Member Benefits
Each wine club subscription includes the following:

  • Our favorite pre-selected wines each month or quarter, depending on your subscription

  • Stories, tasting notes and suggested pairings for each month's wines

  • Access to our Cave of Wonders, for members-only content and coupons

Benefit Restrictions & Requirements
One member is permitted per membership; unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate family or multi-person memberships at this time. 

Member will be asked to show ID upon pickup of wines and anytime member discount is applied. (Please remind us that you are an active member each time you shop with us!)

Member discounts apply to bottles of wine. Classes, tastings, beer, cider and snacks are not eligible for discount. 

Member Pickups
Members are asked to pick up each subscription within the month or quarter of their subscription. Details on when you may pick up are outlined in your welcome email after your first order is processed. If you are unable to pick up within the month or quarter, please email us to designate another pickup person (see below). Due to space limitations, we are unable to store membership wines for more than two months; any monthly memberships left beyond the 25th of the following month, or any quarterly memberships left beyond the end of quarter are subject to restocking without refund and membership cancellation. If you are delinquent, you will be notified by email (at the email address you provided with your subscription) one week before your wines are restocked. 

Greatest Hits Club Pickup Parties
Our Greatest Hits wine club hosts a monthly member pickup party on the first Wednesday of each month, from 6:30-8:30pm in Oakland and from 5:30-7:30 in Napa (please attend the party at the same location at which you normally pick up your wine). Members of our Greatest Hits club taste free at this party, and non-members are welcome to join the fun for $20. If you can’t make the party, you’re welcome to pick up anytime after 5pm on the first Wednesday of that month.

Pickup By a Guest Other Than Member
Member is permitted to add one designated pickup person (email wineclub@baygrapewine.com to provide written permission for one designated pickup person). Designated pickup person will be asked to show ID upon pickup; no pickups by anyone other than member will be permitted unless written permission has been provided in advance. Designated pickup person is not eligible for member's complimentary tasting or member discounts. Please clarify whether designated pickup person is permitted to pick up for one month or all months; if no clarification is provided, we will automatically designate permission for all months. 

Payment Information and Charging
Your payment information is kept secure at all times. We charge memberships on the 1st, 5th or 10th of each month (depending on club type) for the current month or quarter’s active subscription; you will receive an emailed receipt for the payment at your email address on file. You will also receive an email when your wine is ready for pickup or is being shipped. To keep your payment information up to date, please call or email us with new card information in advance of your charge date. If we are unable to charge the card on file, you will receive a message requesting that you update your payment information. If we do not receive new payment information within five days of the attempted charge, your subscription is subject to immediate cancellation. 

Shipping
Wine club subscriptions are available for shipping, subject to all shipping terms and conditions! As a small business, we are unfortunately unable to offer free shipping; we do not profit on shipping costs but pass our exact carrier costs and fees onto you, the buyer. Base shipping costs start around $20 and increase based on distance and package weight; the more you ship at a time, the greater the savings, so we encourage add-on purchases to improve bottle-to-shipping cost ratios! Local delivery is not possible at this time.

Cancellations or Holding Memberships
Cancellations (indefinite) or "holds" (for up to three months before automatic reactivation) must be made in writing (via email to wineclub@baygrapewine.com) by the 25th of the month to apply for the following month’s monthly membership, or by the last day of the quarter to apply for the following quarter’s quarterly membership. Canceled or "held" memberships will de-activate discount benefits immediately.
