Women in Wine: The Batonnage Discussion Series

You may have heard: Stevie is producing the second installment of Bâtonnage, a forum on women in wine, on May 4, 2019! Bâtonnage was a soaring success in year one, drawing over 300 attendees from both within and outside the wine industry to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities that women in our field face. You can dig into the whole event, listen to last year's panels, and get excited about this year's event at

MEANWHILE, you can support this movement at Bay Grape: We're stoked to announce what we hope will be a [provocative!] discussion series at Bay Grape, featuring kick-ass women in wine that will lead us up to Bâtonnage in Napa on May 4. And all profits from ticket sales go to creating scholarships for minority women attending the Bâtonnage forum!

Every Sunday in the Bâtonnage Series, we're inviting a conversation led by women-in-wine guest teachers about issues they've faced coming up in the wine industry--whether that circles around issues related to discrimination or dysfunctional professional relationships; management, leadership or authority; advocating and negotiation; how sexuality plays into professional branding and marketing; how to achieve real diversity; work/life balance; communication strategies and styles; and more... and MORE! You may have noticed these issues are not exactly unique to the wine industry... which is why everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Plus, we'll be drinking!

Each class discussion will feature two glasses of wine selected by the guest teachers for the way that wine shaped her career and experience in wine. And 100% of the profits from each class will go to creating Bâtonnage forum scholarships.

The Full Discussion Series Pack guarantees you a seat at the communal table for all eight classes (every Sunday at 3:00pm March 10-April 28) and reduces the per-class price from $30 to $25.

Can't commit to the full pack? Individual seats followed by standing room tickets will still be sold for each class ($30); registration opens every Sunday at 1pm for class at 3pm, and you can purchase your ticket by calling 510-686-3615 or coming into the shop. Questions? Email
